Water Detection Sensors

With the dramatic growth of electric vehicles, many OEM host battery module plants are using water cooling systems as battery cooling systems. However, if there is a coolant leak in a lithium-ion battery pack, it can put the lithium-ion battery pack in a dangerous condition. Amphenol’s Water Detection Sensor BAF147 detects coolant leaks by a change in the sensor’s resistance value and feeds a signal to the battery management system to warn the driver.
