Fulid-trac Liquid Level Sensors (Ultrasonic)

Characteristic:

  • More accurate: Distance measurement accuracy is ±2.5% of the full range span of the distance.
  • More Reliable: Fluid-TracB is non-contact. Resistive float sensors, on the other hand, have a wiper that slides over the resistive strip, which can wear out over time, resulting in
  • intermittent or complete loss of signal.
  • Non-Invasive: Fluid-TracR mounts in the same opening as a resistive float sensor, but does not protrude into the tank.
  • Easier to Install or Service: The Fluid-TracR has no parts protruding into the tank and does not require bending when removed.
  • Digital Filtration: Digital filtration eliminates errors caused by fluid sloshing around in a moving tank.
  • Tank Profile Measurement: Factory programmable for unique tank shapes.
  • Chemical Compatibility: Fluid-Trac 8 is compatible with a wide range of media including gasoline, diesel, urea (AdBlue), motor oil, hydraulic oil, black/gray water: optional factory programmable non-ratio voltage output with “in range” error detection value
  • Minimum Deadband: No other transmitter has a bottom deadband. Optional Fluid-TracQ mounting adapter can be used to reduce or eliminate the 2” top deadband.
  • American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) Approved

Appliance:

  • Wire level sensors replace standard 33-240 ohm resistive float sensors, reed switch tube sensors, or capacitance tube sensors in connection with microprocessor-controlled fuel gauges or digital meters. (i.e., electronic meters)

Blueprint:

The programmable features of the Fluid-TracR3 In-Line Level Sensor allow it to be interfaced with microprocessor controlled fuel pressure gauges or digital instruments in a variety of applications.

The Fluid-TracR 3 in-line level sensor can be factory programmed for use with a 5-volt regulated microprocessor control module. When the Fluid-TracR 3 in-line level sensor is programmed for a ratiometric voltage output range of 0.5V to 4.5V, it will emulate a 30-240 ohm resistive float type sensor.

The Fluid-TracR 3 in-line level sensor can also be programmed for microprocessor error detection of tank volumetric levels. 0.5 Vdc to 4.5 Vdc voltage output will be set to an “in range” value instead of a “full” or “empty” indicator. An error will be displayed when the voltage output is less than 0.5 volts DC or greater than 4.5 volts DC.

Fluid-TracR 3-wire level sensors have an internal feedback system that allows for non-ratio output. It can be factory programmed for use with microprocessor control modules with unregulated input voltages.
