Engine/Battery Coolant Temperature Sensor

Coolant Temperature Sensors (CTS) monitor the temperature of the coolant in a variety of applications. In the event of excessive temperatures, the sensor sends a notification signal so that measures can be taken to prevent permanent damage or even unsafe conditions. In engine coolant applications, the CTS monitors the temperature of the coolant, which is pumped to the automobile engine block to cool the engine. If the engine begins to overheat, the sensor transmits a signal to notify the vehicle driver. These sensors can also be used in electric vehicles to monitor the temperature of the coolant, which is pumped into the battery module to cool it. Again, if an overheating condition is detected, the sensor sends a signal to notify the driver.Thermometrics offers coolant temperature sensors in a variety of configurations and sizes.
