Dual Zone Sunshine Sensor

The Thermometrics Dual Zone Sunlight Microlight Sensor is mounted in the instrument panel (IP panel) near the front window. It uses two internal photodiode cells to measure the intensity of light entering the vehicle cabin. The sensor then feeds this information to the Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) unit of the vehicle’s air conditioning system. The air temperature on the driver’s and passenger’s sides is then automatically adjusted up or down depending on the amount of light entering both sides of the vehicle.
