Coolant Temperature Sensor
The Coolant Temperature Sensor monitors the coolant temperature used to cool the EV/PHEV battery module. The sensor’s function is to communicate battery overheating conditions to the Battery Management System (BMS). The vehicle system uses this information to control battery charging and overheating to prevent damage to the battery.
