AB6 Series Temperature Sensors (NTC)

Series thermistor assemblies consist of a small thermistor bead and GC (glass chip) soldered to an insulated extension wire. The thermistor bead and GC assemblies are used where the small thermistor must be further connected to a longer wire, as well as applications requiring fast response measurements in confined spaces.

Thermal beads or GCs (glass chips) are hermetically sealed in glass and have a fine diameter of 0.0007 in. to 0.0 0 4 in. 0 0 4 inch (0.01778 mm to 0.1016 mm) platinum alloy leads. The platinum leads are cut short and soldered to insulated extension leads, and depending on the application or environment, the joints are covered with insulation. The assembly can then be inserted into hypodermic needles, catheters, or other small housings that require extension leads.

Characteristic:

  • Quick response in confined spaces
  • Easy insertion
  • Added leads and insulation for handling during further assembly operations
  • Electrical characteristics remain unchanged after assembly

Appliance:

  • Hypodermic Needle
  • Catheters
  • Small housings requiring lead extensions
